Food Security

Build Towards Productivity and Harvesting Your Own Food in Harmony with All Life.

Shamboh is a solutions-based company. We design and engineer the best possible solution for your site — not an off-the-shelf package.

Food production for off-grid living has to work without synthetic inputs, without reliable supply chains, and without a specialist on call. We design systems that produce from the first season and improve with each one, rather than a garden that looks good on a plan but takes five years to feed anyone.

That means layering timeframes on the same piece of land: annual vegetable beds for near-term yield, perennial food forest guilds that take over as the annuals establish, and market-garden-scale production where the property and the intent support it. Small-scale aquaculture gets added where water availability allows. A well-designed productive garden also functions as a water retention landscape — swales and mulched beds slow runoff instead of just sitting there.

Design and implementation draw on Six Kingdoms' ecological design experience and the Precious Tree Project's work on indigenous planting and soil regeneration — the same partners behind our water and land pillars, so food production gets designed alongside them rather than bolted on afterward.
