Ecological Design
Food forests, habitat corridors, and living systems by design.
Ecological design is the practice of creating landscapes that function as ecosystems — productive, resilient, and self-maintaining over time. We design food forests that yield across multiple seasons, water retention landscapes that slow runoff and recharge groundwater, and habitat corridors that reconnect fragmented veld. The work draws on permaculture design, applied ecology, and an understanding of how plants, soil, water, and animals interact on a specific piece of land. Every design starts from observation.
